Purpose and Intended Results

We aspire to ensure that the actual practices and processes of decision making throughout the SEEDS ecosystem are aligned to the values and principles expressed in the SEEDS Constitution.

Scope

Our arena of concern is “Governance,” by which we mean:

• The ways in which collective decisions are reached.
• The mechanisms of documenting and making known these decisions.
• The mechanisms by which these decisions are implemented.
• The agreements by which people in SEEDS are expected to live.
• The practices by which these agreements are maintained, and “enforced.”
• How are changes made to any of these elements of Governance? (How do we evolve our systems?)

In this group we are mostly concerned with the processes by which decisions are made, not the content of decisions themselves.

We take as our starting point the SEEDS Constitution, as ratified by the SEEDS Citizens.

We recognize that we don’t have the answers. In fact, no one does, because a regenerative complex global society has never been realized. We will bring in thought leaders to inform our work. We will explore resources and methodologies.
