Purpose: zoom out and understand which organisational drivers / strategic opportunities we will utilise in the coming period

Outcome: clarity on strategic priorities and personal interests, so that individual team members can propose their next projects in the governance meeting

Why: zooming out is a key step in the creation process, so it increases our focus and alignment in the upcoming period

Frequency (full-time team): once every 2 or 3 months, ideally one or two weeks after the project retrospective meeting

Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours

Preparations: team members list the strategic tensions and opportunities they would like to gain insight and alignment on

Opening (3 - 5 min)

Goal: Help everyone arrive and align expectations for the meeting

Facilitator opens the meeting:

Explain meeting structure and mention agenda items

A moment of grounding

Help us tune into the greater mission and vision of why we are creating
